Cellist Rylan Gajek grew up on Salt Spring and did his early training with Paula Kiffner and is now pursuing post-secondary studies in music and math- ematics at Bard College in New York. This summer he toured in China and took part in music residencies in Calgary and Cambridge.=0D=0A=

Iman Habibi and Deborah Grimmett, who now perform together as a duo called Piano Pinnacle, attended ArtSpring’s first and only Piano Festival/Residency in early 2007. Since then they have completed gradu- ate degrees at UBC and launched careers as recitalists. Iman is also a composer whose work has been per- formed by a number of Canadian orchestras.
