During this 5 week program you will cover the topics necessary to fulfill the financial responsibilities of managing a nonprofit including:</p>=0D=0A=

<p>Budgeting best practices</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Dealing with CRA and knowing your responsibilities around payroll, gst and tax filings</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Payroll and HR issues</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Board fiduciary responsibilities including financial and legal considerations</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Roles of the Treasurer, ED and financial staff</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Creating a financial policy and procedures framework for your organization</p>=0D=0A=
<p>This course will be broken into two sections. The first will be a 3 hour in person training that will go through most of the content of the program. You will then get a chance to spend 4 weeks in the online environment working on the assignments and readings. At the end of week 4 a live webinar will be set where questions can be asked. During the online portion of the course, the instructor will be available to answer questions.</p>
