Just down the block from the Nanaimo Arts Council at 208 Wallace Street, the Blue Poppy Garden Gallery is onto a very good thing, offering First Fridays, a social gathering from 5 to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of the month, when people can get together and socialize with one another and with the artist whose work they exhibit that month.
=0D=0A=In the spirit of celebrating our city’s vibrant creative community, NAC and at the Network Hub joining them in hosting a First Friday event on August 5, making this a real block party! Nanaimo Arts Council and The Network Hub will be offering snacks, refreshments and a cash bar at the Network Hub, 120-256 Wallace, where NAC’s First Friday Celebration members exhibition will be on display, along with a peoples choice award for the favourite.
