=0D=0A=We are thrilled to announce that our Seventh Annual FiddleFest is just around the corner. The Victoria Fiddle Society FiddleFest is anything but a one trick pony. This popular annual event offers an eclectic menu of fiddle-oriented activities for all ages during the month of February in Victoria. The event features a fiddle-driven barn dance that will be free to the public and lead by the one and only Trish Horrocks along with all-day fiddle, voice, guitar, step dance, ensemble and an all day drop-in art workshop. The Saturday is then capped off with a concert featuring our instructors and an art exhibit from the day long art workshop.
=0D=0A=This year FiddleFest is being hosted by Artemis Place Secondary with all workshops being offered to the Artemis youth, their children and the instructors free of charge. The Victoria Fiddle Society hopes that this will provide an opportunity for the Artemis youth to participate in music, dance and art classes that they may not otherwise have the chance to experience. All proceeds from the FiddleFest will go toward supporting music and music education in the Greater Victoria area.
