DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>Jan Zwicky has published eleven full-length collections of poetry, most recently The Long Walk, which appeared this fall in the Oskana Series from the University of Regina Press. Her previous collection, Forge (Gasperau, 2011) was short-listed for the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2012. Other poetry collections include Songs for Relinquishing the Earth (Brick Books, 1998), winner of the Governor General&rsquo;s Award, 1999, and Robinson's Crossing (Brick Books, 2004), which won the Dorothy Livesay Prize in 2004.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Zwicky has also published translations and numerous essays on music, poetry, philosophy, and the environment. Her books of philosophy include Wisdom &amp; Metaphor (Brush, 2nd ed, 2014), which was short-listed for the Governor General&rsquo;s Award in 2004. Wittgenstein Elegies, a series of meditations that integrate poetry and philosophy, was re-issued in a second edition by Brick Books in 2015. A book of fiction, The Book of Frog was published by Pedlar Press in 2012.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Robert Bringhurst has published more than forty books including poetry, books on typography, literature, linguistics, and visual art, many combining several of these subjects. Bringhurst is also known for his work in the translation and interpretation of Native American oral literature. His many awards include a Guggenheim fellowship, the Edward Sapir Book Prize, the Hubert Evans Prize, and the BC Lieutenant-Governor&rsquo;s Award. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate by Simon Fraser University. Recent poetry includes Selected Poems (Copper Canyon Press, 2011), Stopping By (Hirundo Press, 2012) and most recent prose includes The Elements of Typographic Style (Hartley and Marks, 4th edition, 2012) and A Story as Sharp as a Knife (UK, Folio edition, 2015). Going Down Singing, a collection of poetry, (Two Pounds Press) will be published in 2016.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Bernice Friesen began her creative life as a visual artist but has been writing since the age of 12. The title story of her first book, The Seasons are Horses, won the Vicky Metcalf Award for Best Young Adult Short Story in Canada. Her first novel, The Book of Beasts, was one of the top five first fictions in 2007 in the Toronto Globe and Mail, and was short-listed for the Rogers Writers Trust Fiction Prize.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Born in Saskatchewan, she has lived in England and New Zealand, and now lives in British Columbia&rsquo;s Gulf Islands.
