<p><span lang="EN-US">On October 2, 1921 Shelbourne Street became the first Road of Remembrance in Canada. The idea was to plant one tree for every BC soldier lost in World War One, from Mount Douglas in Saanich to Bay Street in Victoria. This presentation will highlight the special significance of these trees as a living memorial of the Great War to present and future generations. </span></p>=0D=0A=
