Members of the Errington Volunteer Fire Department will host an open house on Saturday, October 15 from 10 am to 3 pm at the fire hall located at 960 Errington Road. This family-friendly event offers an opportunity to learn about fire safety including home fire sprinklers, smoke alarms, and home escape plans. There will be educational displays as well as interactive activities for kids who will have a chance to use a fire extinguisher and try the hose at targets. The EVFD recently added a drone to its firefighting arsenal. Be sure to drop by and see how this state-of-the-art piece of equipment is being used to protect the Oceanside community. There will be amazing raffle items up for grabs as well with proceeds benefiting the EVFD’s worthy projects.
