The award-winning Encore! Women’s Choir is back for its 9th Annual Christmas Concert, continuing its tradition of offering a gorgeous Christmas programme to the Cowichan Valley audience. Music Director Christine Dandy, along with her 23 singers and their outstanding pianist Rykie Avenant, are busy rehearsing a spectacular collection of songs that will envelop their audience in the spirit of Christmas.
=0D=0A=Cameo performances include Peter Weinkam who will accompany the choir on Organ and Violin; a piano duet by Rykie Avenant and Catharina De Beer and a ‘sneak peek’ of the upcoming Cowichan Musical Society’s production of ‘Oliver’ with Dominic Fagan (Oliver) sing “Where is Love?” and Grant Mellemstrand (Fagan) singing “Reviewing the Situation.” There will be something for every facet of the holiday season in this year’s Christmas concert, including playful works as well as classic carols. Enjoy some new songs like “Mary Sat a-Rockin”, listen for familiar melodies in “Wolfgang’s Christmas Canon”, and raise your voice (and spirit) with a few singalong carols.
