You will learn about hand-held and built-in GPS and the different kinds of electronic charting&mdash;how they were developed, their advantages and disadvantages and how to use them in a practical manner.<br /><br />The course covers the features, capabilities and uses of electronic charts and the variety of ways they are available - from chart plotters, PDAs, tablets to laptop and desktop computers.<br /><br />Course materials include a comprehensive CPS training manual and a CD containing a number of charts and a full scale simulator of a chart plotter to help you learn by doing.<br /><br />Register early -- Class size is limited to 12 students.<br /><br /></p>
