We open the season on June 7 and 8 with the vibrant and electrifying Galvin Cello Quartet, a dynamic ensemble of four cellists who captivated our audiences last season, and who return by popular demand in back-to-back seasons this year. Top prize winners at the 2021 International Fischoff Competition, and described as “brilliant instrumentalists and thoughtful musicians individually, by glorious as a group” (Guarneri String Quartet), this unique ensemble has appeared at leading festivals including Ravinia, Bravo!, Vail, Newport Classical, in major concert halls, dazzling audiences regularly. Their Eine Kleine programme this season, titled ‘Voice of the Piano’ features works by Mozart, Wagner, Gershwin, Schumann, J. Strauss, Mehmari and Carlos Gardel.
