Edie DaPonte is an emerging Jazz and Latin singer on Vancouver Island entertaining audiences at local venues and concerts including the Victoria Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Latin Festival. She is the house singer at the Beacon Landing Lounge in Sidney. Her first Bossa Nova album was recorded and produced at Baker Studios with award-winning producer, Joby Baker. Performing a versatile collection of well-loved songs, Edie sings in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
=0D=0A=Tom Vickery remains a leading figure on the West Coast jazz scene. Equally talented on both trumpet and piano, in 1993 he participated in a national tour of Canada with the Canadian Forces Jazz Quintet for the Department of National Defense.The Tom Vickery Trio has been the house band at Hermann’s Jazz Club in Victoria for more than 20 years.
=0D=0A=He played in Hugh Fraser’s (international) Jazz Workshop Orchestra for two years, and has been the featured pianist with vocalist Barbara Blair’s “Jazz Affair” group.
