Draw by Drawing is a weekly online drop-in session via Zoom sponsored by the Vancouver Island School of Art and is hosted by artist and educator Wendy Welch.
=0D=0A=Participants do not need any drawing experience to attend and while these are not “how-to-draw” sessions, instructional information will be provided to complete each week’s projects. These are not step-by-step drawing instruction sessions. But rather it is an opportunity for a group of like-minded individuals to draw together. The facilitator, Wendy Welch, will present a drawing “prompt” each week and the participants will draw together.Each week there will be a different prompt to get you drawing. By attending these sessions on a weekly basis (or as often as you can), you will quickly realize that you learn to draw “by drawing”. This is a great way to have a relaxing evening and get away from all your day-to-day troubles. The main focus of each session is to draw together in a group. The facilitator will be doing the projects alongside the participants. When the facilitator is talking, there will often be music playing while you draw.
