DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Calgary's Double Fuzz is returning to the limelight with a shiny new package of rock called CoCo, and the band is coming through to Victoria on October 7, playing Logan's. They are bluesy, hard and straight ahead rock ’n roll, a prairie boy’s ode to west coast rock, with some glam, punk and retro rock mixed in.

CoCo is an 8 song collection, recorded at Raincity Studios in Vancouver with producer Jesse Gander (Japandroids, The Pack AD). The sophomore effort keeps their signature sound or intense, riff-laden grooves, utilizing Gander's skills to better define the artistic direction, and expand upon the terrain the group so ably conquered in 2012, when they rocketed from relative obscurity to being Calgary's 'it’ band, winning X92.9’s Xposure contest, garnering a WCMA nomination, and gracing the cover of BeatRoute Magazine.

Double Fuzz has established itself as one of the most dynamic guitar driven duos to come out of Western Canada, since sparking interest on the scene in 2010, with the release of a 3 song EP. The group released their full-length, self-titled debut in 2012, delivering an intensity that leapt out of the riff-laden grooves like a house on fire. The release made it clear that the band was a sonic force to be reckoned with, and leader Jonny Whitehead staked his claim as a powerful songwriter, combining memorable hooks with trenchant lyrics, while drummer Harvey Warren kept the beat deep in the pocket, moving forward in a direction that set Double Fuzz apart from their indie rock contemporaries.

Audiences packed their shows and the media was quick to catch the buzz. They scored the cover of Beatroute Magazine, took top prize in the X92 FM's Xposure competition (with "Big City Lights" garnering commercial airplay on X92), licensed music for television and commercials, and were nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award; rocketing from relative obscurity to being Calgary's 'it' band, without missing a beat.

CoCo is rife with muscular riffs, luring grooves, and evocative lyrics; it's all-out rock 'n roll. Check it out.
____________________________________
=0D=0A=
