<p>Dr. Joy Connolly is the President of the American Council of Learned Societies and a scholar whose work extends from politics and rhetoric in ancient Rome to classics in the contemporary landscape. This lecture examines Roman writers who saw imagination as a binding force for communal identity &ndash; raising timely questions for us today about cultural appropriation and imperialism.</p>=0D=0A=
