The plot is hysterically funny, the characters are ridiculous, and the music is full of well-known melodies. For someone who is considering going to their first opera/operetta, Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus is definitely the one to attend. This performance, however, replaces all of the big, operatic voices with those of ten and eleven year olds.<br /><br />Sung in English and edited down to a healthy 100 minutes, the Grade 5 students from St. Michaels University School invite everyone to come and watch opera, the way it was never intended to be performed.</p>=0D=0A=
