DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>This new design course explores the principles and elements of design and develop an understanding of how they can be applied across a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, collage and photo-based practices. Focus will be on composition, surface treatments and typography. Weekly projects will encourage students to experiment and to comprehend various aspects to two- dimensional design. Lecture components of the class will further explore components of design within a fine art context by looking at practicing artists and ideas within the field.</p>
