=0D=0A=David Somers and Celtic Cargo Cult are back at Zocalo Café on Saturday, October 18th. On the corner of Cliffe Avenue and 5th street in Courtenay, Zocalo provides an ideal intimate setting in which to enjoy the band’s original music and unique arrangements of traditional and contemporary Irish songs. In addition to its mouth-watering desserts and coffees, it also has a licensed dining menu with beer, wine and liqueurs.

=0D=0A=Born and raised in Ireland, David moved with his family to the Comox Valley 20 years ago. A love for song fuels his writing and performing. His CD “At the End of the Day” is an equal mix of original songs and unique arrangements of traditional Irish songs.
=0D=0A=“Bootless” Bob Henderson (drums) born in eastern Canada and raised on both coasts (as well as some parts in between), Bob feels at home with rhythms of Celtic music and brings a wealth of experience to his playing.
=0D=0A=A guitarist and drummer in other parts of his musical life, long time Valley resident David Hext takes on Bass Guitar and vocals with what he calls his 'bash on regardless' style of play. David’s energy and humour are at the heart of the character of the band.
=0D=0A=Chris Manuel (lead guitar) brings a jazz influence and credits influences from the Monkees to Theloneus Monk for his signature sound.
