Presently, there are over 3 million Canadians with diabetes and over 283,000 in British Columbia only!  By the end of 2010, one in ten Canadians will likely develop diabetes!=0D=0A=
D Youth Victoria, a volunteer group working for the Canadian Diabetes Association is currently organizing their first event for young adults aged 18 to 29 (or so).  “It has been a great challenge for CDA to connect with this age group all across Canada, but we are hoping that this innovative approach will bring us together” – Julie Holder, says.  In order to ensure a successful experience that can lead to a continuous and active participation of young people, they rely on the support of the community.  =0D=0A=
