We play music that is traditional Barn Dance music, much of it in a Celtic style. Both the music and dances are part of our dancing heritage and is very beautiful. We dance a variety of dances - including Contra Dance, Regency dance (Jane Austen), Vienniese waltzes, polka, schotiisches ect etc. It is also excellent exercise. All dances taught on the spot. No experience needed. No partner needed. Dress is casual. Ladies dress casually in jeans or pant suit or wear a flowing skirt or dress . Please be fragrance free. Young children with parent/guardian free. Musicians are welcome to join us (we have music, or you can play by ear.) A list of our main melodies are on-line (at www.vintagedance.ca) and if you know a tune or two from the list we will include it in our dance programme.)
