=0D=0A=Meet the instructor: Matt Gravel is a Victoria-based permaculturalist with a passion for sustainable and living systems. After 10 years of property maintenance and conventional landscaping, he became tired of the unsustainable and non-regenerative practices commonly used in urban environments and wanted to find a way to change these urban spaces. He has been studying permaculture since 2012. He completed his Permaculture Design Certificate through Gaia Craft & Langara College in Vancouver, BC and his Advanced Permaculture Design Certification at the Bullock’s Permaculture Homestead on Orcas Island, WA. Currently he is working towards a diploma in permaculture education through the Permaculture Institute.

He is thrilled to be teaching people about low maintenance, easy to manage systems that grow nutrient dense food and medicine while regenerating urban landscapes. This workshop series is brought to you by Fernwood NRG & Plant Buoy: Life Preservation Plants. We strive to increase healthy food access and develop food skills in our neighbourhood.
