We are a Canadian "Gypsy Blues" band that writes & performs original compositions in early blues, minor swing and stomp Jazz Rag. Our sound is largely influenced by delta, Jump blues, Ragtime artists such as Lonnie Johnson, Eddie Lang, Blind Willie Mctell, T Bone Walker, Skip James, and Django Reinhardt. Steeped in this early style, with a modern energy and approach.
The band is originally from Alberta, Canada. A.W. Cardinal, a Metis of Cree Heritage from Rocky Mountain House, & Jasmine Colette from the Badlands. Together we play as a unique duo, with A.W. on lead vocals and guitar, and myself on upright bass, drums and vocals.
We have just completed our "Lonesome Ghosts" tour in support of our latest album - 60 dates across Canada, including six shows at The Victoria International Jazz Festival, as well as Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
