After many local community groups have endured 18 months of zoom meetings, an upcoming Community Listening Event will be a welcomed opportunity for organizations and volunteers to see and hear from each other in person.
=0D=0A=“We are gathering as many groups as possible in one place who are working towards creating a better, healthier future for our community,” states event organizer and Comox family physician Dr. Jonathan Kerr.
=0D=0A=“We often feel we are working in our own silos. It will be an affirming experience to see all of the interconnected pieces that are necessary to have a healthy community, healthy people, and a healthy environment.”
=0D=0A=This free community gathering is being held on Saturday, September 11th, from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Rotary stage in Filberg Park, Comox.
=0D=0A=Everyone is welcome to attend and hear talks from local organizations and non-profits, browse information booths, catch some live music, and provide input on what issues matter most in our community.
=0D=0A=“The response to this event has been outstanding. Over twenty local organizations have already signed up to participate,” noted Dr. Kerr.
