<p>And now for a little science: shadows need two things to form, Light, and an Object that does not allow light to pass through. Light, which can only travel in a straight line, will then go sideways and, voil&agrave;, a shadow is formed.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Casting Shadows, an open-call show, is a brand-new theme for Coast Collective Gallery. Twenty-seven artists have submitted works that shine a light upon shadows &ndash; paintings, photographs, sculptures, textiles, mixed media, and even a lamp made from upcycled automotive parts.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>C&rsquo;mon &ndash; no need to be afraid of your own shadow.</p>=0D=0A=
