Award-winning, Victoria-based ensemble, Cascadia Quartet is comprised of Campbell River-native Tyson Doknjas, Kathryn Wiebe, Jessica Pickersgill, and Erin Tinney. Formed in 2015, the versatile group is active in bringing live music to the community through many different forms, whether it’d be chamber music collaborations, retirement home concerts, school outreach workshops & concerts, or for special events such as weddings or corporate events. They have performed across Vancouver Island and the mainland. The members have studied at University of Victoria, University of Toronto, Mercer University, New England Conservatory of Music, and University of Michigan and perform regularly with other ensembles such as Victoria Symphony, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Sidney Classical Orchestra, Victoria Baroque Players, and Pacific Baroque Orchestra. This quartet has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as six-time Juno winner, Colin James, and have performed for clients such as Acura Canada, Bank of Montreal, British Columbia Ministry of Justice, City of Victoria, Maximus Canada, and MCI Canada.
=0D=0A=

A few elements we really value as part of our concerts is combining familiar pieces with newer, honing a diverse range of music from different eras, having a family-friendly length of program and interaction with the audience, and all in all, making classical music more accessible and relatable to all audience types, especially those who may be less familiar with that type of repertoire.
=0D=0A=
