Canada Day is an annual celebration of Canada’s Birthday that takes place on July 1st every year.  2011 marks Canada’s 144th birthday.  The event starts with the formal parade of flags and opening ceremony.  Nanaimo’s Canada Day combines a wonderful waterfront location, with energetic entertainment, roving clowns, face painting, multicultural foods and fun for the whole community.  This daylong event creates an opportunity for Nanaimo to celebrate as a large family on July 1, 2011. =0D=0A=
