All members are invited to the Campbell River Art Gallery Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 26 at 7 pm. The Gallery is located at 1235 Shoppers Row in Campbell River.
=0D=0A=After reports on 2014 Gallery programs and the election of the Board of Directors, there will be a sneak peek at upcoming 2015 exhibitions. Everyone is welcome but only members can vote on AGM business. Closing the evening will be a preview screening of the short film The Summoning, created by 2016 exhibiting artist Amalie Atkins (above). Atkins is a Saskatchewan-based artist, recent Sobey Art Award recipient (2014), and renowned Canadian contemporary artist whose work hopscotches from filmmaking to fabric-based sculpture to performance. Join us for a glimpse into one artist's fantastical world!
At the 2015 AGM, members will be asked to vote on a proposed bylaw regarding Board terms of service. The resolution being brought forward from the Board of Directors will read:
Be it resolved that Board member terms of service will be restricted
to a maximum of three consecutive two-year terms, commencing in 2015.
