40 Roses are a Victoria-based band who have a catalogue of music as vast as the inspirations they draw from. Artists such as Elliott Smith, Gram Parsons, Neil Young and Wilco have created some of the sounds that inspired the members of 40 Roses to convene. It’s difficult to categorize a band in a few words but 40 Roses are perhaps best described as Indie-Groove-Rock. Some would also say Psychedelic-Alt-Country. Front man, Cameron Latimer, started his music career with a band in the same vein called The Seams with their self-produced debut album Castaway Motel in 2004. Since then Latimer released his critically acclaimed debut solo album Fallen Apart in 2008.
