Our annual butterfly release is a heartwarming family event that touches the lives of everyone in the Alberni Valley.
=0D=0A=Join us to release a butterfly for fun or in memory of a loved one. Everyone welcome.
=0D=0A=The event is family friendly and includes free kids' activities, free face painting, free water, food by donation and more!
=0D=0A=We advise all guests to bring hats, camping chairs, sunscreen, and anything else they need to be comfortable at our outdoor space during a summer day.
=0D=0A=Our annual butterfly release will return Saturday, June 27, 2026. Join us at our Community Office, 2579 10th Ave, Port Alberni.
=0D=0A=Event runs 11:30-1:30
=0D=0A=Butterfly pickup starts at 12:15pm
=0D=0A=Release at 12:30
=0D=0A=Please note: No butterflies are held after release
=0D=0A=Butterflies are limited - it is highly recommended you reserve in advance as we sell out each year.
=0D=0A=Butterflies are $25 each (Painted Lady butterflies in individual release boxes)
=0D=0A=A limited number of no-cost butterflies are also available to the community, generously sponsored by Jim's Clothes Closet!
=0D=0A=Simply contact the AV Hospice office to reserve a no-cost butterfly.
