<p>About the artists:</p>=0D=0A=
<p>"Pauline has developed her own bold style. She loves painting large, color-saturated images, in a realistic yet painterly style. Her subjects frequently reflect her country roots, featuring animals and dramatic florals, often with a whimsical twist."</p>=0D=0A=
<p>"Val grew up in northern British Columbia and at 17 she was becoming proficient in both oils and acrylics. A year later, she was doing commissions and selling her work in Prince Rupert.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>She began exhibiting in solo and group shows shortly after moving to Salt Spring in 1980. For several years she studied under world-class painter Allen Edwards, who spent his latter years teaching there. She has received instruction from some of North America's finest artists; Robert Genn, Judi Betts, Christopher Schink, Brian Johnson, and Rex Brandt, to name a few."</p>
