We haven’t had a poetry festival on the island since 2012, and we are pleased and proud to say that the rumours are true – Poetry Gabriola is doing it again! Although it’s on a smaller scale than in the past, we believe we are onto something BIG!
=0D=0A=This weekend will feature Four Strong Voices ~ award-winning poet Marilyn Bowering; Victoria’s current Poet Laureate, Yvonne Blomer; poet, playwright, and actor Tina Biello; and rising Vancouver poetry star Kayla Czaga, as well as Gabriola poetry personalities to be announced.
=0D=0A=Rounding out the evening will be performances by the PGS Improviser’s Collective and special guests. There will be a cash bar, book sales, and probably some of the hijinks you’ve come to expect from your favorite poetry producers.
