DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join the Duncan World Community Film Festival on Thursday January 31 at 7:30 pm at The Hub in Cowichan Station, for a special screening of For Once In My Life, the incredibly inspiring documentary about a band of singers and musicians who have a variety of physical or developmental disabilities including: autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, and visual impairments.  What they share in common is an uncanny gift for music, joy and friendship. =0D=0A=
The film follows the band members as their determination, talent and dedication takes them from the rehearsal room to the concert stage. The band is discovered by the mayor of Miami and invited to perform for a large audience at the U.S. Mayors' Convention. We are given behind-the-scenes glimpses into the challenges band members face on the way to the performance. Filled with joy, humor and tough love, For Once In My Life shows the power of music to transform and enrich lives. =0D=0A=
For Once In My Life has won Audience Awards at the South by Southwest, Sarasota, Nashville, and Heartland film festivals, Jury Awards at the Sonoma and Port Townsend Film Festivals, and the prestigious Music Impact Award at the Nashville Film Festival. This film has audiences standing up and cheering. =0D=0A=
Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the film will start at 7:30 pm. Admission is by donation. Everyone is welcome.=0D=0A=
