<p>The Human Figure in Art Artists have been fascinated with the human form as subject matter since primitive times of cave paintings. During the month of August, the McMillan Arts Centre is exhibiting paintings and sculpture in a show entitled &ldquo;The Human Figure in Art'&rsquo;. Six of the finest regional figurative artists including Mehdi Naimi, Sandra Lamb, Sofie Skapski, Clive Powsey, Teresa Knight and Nadia Yelamo will have their work on display. Each contributing artist interprets the human figure from a different perspective examining form, colour and light. Oceanside Photographers&rsquo; Club The Oceanside Photographers&rsquo; Club consists of about 100 members who range from novice-to-professional photographers. Their members live, work and play in a photographer&rsquo;s paradise, the east coast of Vancouver Island. The goal of the club is to promote learning, sharing and the enjoyment of photography in a convivial atmosphere.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>This exhibit will represent &ldquo;the best of the best&rdquo; in photographic talent with a wide range of subject matter from wildlife to stunning seascapes.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Shared Vision by Jack and Shelly Harynuk Jack and Shelley love to travel up-and-down Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and the west coast of the United States. While Jack&rsquo;s passion is for grizzly bears and orca whales, Shelly takes a more artistic approach enjoying, the post-processing creativity and pleasure of her digital photography.
