Beckerman will regale audiences with a discussion surrounding the beautiful city of Santa Fe and the art and amenities found there in the lead up to the <a href="http://aggv.ca/events/art-tours/associates-art-tour-santa-fe">Associates Art Tour of Santa Fe</a>. If you have already signed up for the adventure or want more information, the evening's event is designed to provide you with answers to questions you may still have.&nbsp;<br /><br /><strong>About Andrew Beckerman</strong><br /><br />Retired architect, Andrew Beckerman and his ex-partner ran a six-room hotel in Santa Fe for eight years, while collecting local art and volunteering within the community. Over the years, Andrew Beckerman has been a staunch supporter of human rights and an avid activist for the AIDS/HIV movement. Throughout the 70s, Beckerman spent 11 months travelling Europe and North Africa researching/speaking about community based design and planning. He also received the Progressive Architecture Urban Plannning Award and in 1977, founded the Neighborhood Design Centre of Oakland; staying on as the executive director until 1979. Presently, Beckerman holds various roles as public speaker, community educator, board member, and committee member with a diverse range of non-profits within Victoria. In 2002 he received the Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Santa Fe County United Way. Beckerman's Victoria home boasts perhaps the largest collection of New Mexcian art found in our fair city!</p>
