An evening with Barbara Smith and Erin Davis In celebration of Persons Day, which recognizes the historic decision to include women in the legal definition of “persons”, we will hear two successful women from the Peninsula read from their most recent book. In 'The Famous Five: Canada’s Crusaders for Women’s Rights', Barbara Smith provides a concise history of the five women who changed the course of history and brought Canadians one step closer to equality. In her book, 'Mourning Has Broken: Love, Loss and Reclaiming Joy', former radio host Erin Davis recounts her difficult journey through grief following the unexpected death of her daughter.
