A globetrotter and troubadour trained in diverse musical disciplines sung in Italian, French, Spanish, Swedish and English, her soaring mezzo-soprano voice stirs the heart.
=0D=0A=Burdett's background is deeply routed in her Operatic training, including a Music degree from Montreal’s McGill University for Opera and a Master’s degree in Performance Voice from London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Music. Her multifaceted education included classical voice, new music, opera, vocal improvisation, art song, dance, acting and musical theatre.
=0D=0A=It was during her studies that she fell in love with Cabaret, a theme that deeply inspires her aesthetic. Like her gypsy ancestors, Burdett is a troubadour, performing and teaching across Canada, Europe, USA and China. For this performance, she is accompanied by The Bills’ Adrian Dolan on piano, Scott White on bass, and Marc Atkinson on guitar. Brishen’s Richard Moody contributes violin.
