Alpine Gardeners of Central Vancouver Island present Jiri Papousek, from the Czech Republic, to speak on "Small Daphnes and Their Cultivation". Small Daphnes, with their lovely scent and long lasting flowers, are perfect for the rock garden, regular border or containers and troughs.
=0D=0A=Jiri has a passion for Daphnes and will share his experience in growing them in crevice & open gardens, pots and tufa walls. He will also share his experiences in propagating these lovely little plants and shrubs.
=0D=0A=Jiri, known as "The Alpine Parrot", is well known in Czech and European rock and alpine gardening circles. He has 30 years experience of growing & exhibiting alpines at the famous Prague Rock Garden shows. In the last 5 years he has lectured in Scotland, the USA, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden.
