The McMillan Arts Centre will vibrate to the rhythms of African folk tales as Nigerian storyteller, Comfort Ero, joins us for a remarkable evening of stories and fun.

=0D=0A=Comfort has just returned from a visit to her home in Nigeria and will have stories to tell us.
=0D=0A=In Africa storytelling is a way of life. It is integrated into everyday life and plays a major role in shaping people’s lives. It is not only entertaining, but it also passes on the values and principles of a culture. It is a teaching tool and a guide used to raise children and instill wisdom and harmony into people.
=0D=0A=This is the authentic experience that you will hear if you come to hear master storyteller Comfort Ero perform.
=0D=0A=Comfort Ero was born and raised in Nigeria as the first daughter of the chief of her village. As a young girl, she was immersed in the dramatization of popular folk tales, songs and dances. It is rumored that as a small child she could be overheard acting, singing and telling stories by herself. It seemed she was destined to bring these stories to life wherever she went.
