Over the past forty years John Baldwin has completed numerous first ascents and pioneered many remote long ski traverses. He is the author of Mountains of the Coast (1999) and Exploring the Coast Mountains on Skis. (2009). Linda Bily has completed over fifteen long ski mountaineering traverses and her photographs have been published in a wide variety of magazines, catalogues and displays. Traveling by foot and ski, their goal was simply to experience and document as much of these remote places as possible—to wander across the high meadows, ski from mountain tops and revel in the artful patterns of new-fallen snow.
=0D=0A=

With 166 full colour photographs, the authors document their mountaineering expeditions that would last anywhere from one to three weeks and often involve travel across difficult mountain terrain. So much more than just a stunning coffee-table book, Soul of Wilderness is sure to inspire readers to discover and connect with the intense beauty of this mountain wilderness.
