The Legends of Rock n’ Roll presents A Rock’N’Roll Christmas – two great attractions on one spectacular show!
Zachary Stevenson returns to the stage as Buddy Holly, and he is joined by the knockout Beatles tribute band… The Fab Fourever.
It’s a well-known secret that without the influence of Buddy Holly… the Beatles may not have existed, as Paul McCartney stated; “John and I started to write songs because of Buddy Holly.” The Beatles name also comes from John wanting a bug-themed name similar to Buddy Holly’s “Crickets.”
Now some 50 years later… Buddy Holly, the man that left such a huge impression on what is arguably the biggest pop phenomenon of all time, is being celebrated together with the Beatles through this super “Yuletide Special” by two world-class tribute attractions… Zachary Stevenson performing as Buddy Holly and the Fab Fourever performing as the Beatles.
Stevenson has performed as Buddy in no less than 10 different productions of ‘The Buddy Holly Story’, and is currently being applauded for his leading role of the hit musical “Red Rock Diner” at Vancouver’s Arts Club Theatre. (Michael Buble starred in the original production)
The Fab Fourever have been wowing audiences throughout Western Canada with their live renditions of all the Beatles hits. This show will pay homage to the music of the 50’s and early 60’s with the Fab Fourever performing songs from 1960 – 1965, songs from the Cavern Club in Liverpool, the Ed Sullivan Show, and their ‘64/’65 World Tours.
“We’ve been out to see Zachary play as Buddy and every time we do we are asked ‘why don’t we team up?’” says Jody Tennant who plays the role of Paul McCartney in the group. Kevin Davey as John Lennon ads “and then Zachary came out to one of our shows and the audience were asking the same thing.”
As Holly, Stevenson will be performing all of Buddy’s huge hits such as… “Maybe Baby”, “That’ll Be The Day”, “Peggy Sue”, “Everyday” and “Oh Boy” as well as some seasonal favourites.
The FAB FOUREVER counter with memorable tunes such as; “She Loves You”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Please Please Me”, “Twist and Shout”, “A Hard Day’s Night”, plus some of their favourite Christmas tunes.
