“Ax Men” is the first-ever non-fiction series about the treacherous life of loggers. This series looks at the legacy that the pioneers of logging laid for the present and future generation of loggers. Deep in the woods, loggers make their living doing one of the most dangerous jobs in history—logging. Their mission: to retrieve timber perched on mountainsides too steep to access with machines.=0D=0A=

The coastal forest industry in B.C. supports over 55,000 families. The industry includes a wide range of areas including harvesting, pulp and paper production, production of lumber, exporting materials, and a growing group of bio products and other emerging forest-derived products; and it all starts with logging the wood.=0D=0A=

The “Ax Men” brings to life the lifestyle, the people, and the business of logging. The TLA is extremely pleased to be able to bring Mike to Nanaimo to speak about why he feels promoting the industry through programs, such as “Ax Men”, is important to the industry.=0D=0A=
