Let's celebrate the Lunar New Year 2020-Year of the Ox in a different way, Comox Valley Multicultural Society is pleased being able to have Chai Found Music Workshop (CFMW) of Taiwan to perform at Sid Williams Theatre on Jan 27, 2020. Chai Found a musical band, combined with the traditional music instruments and folk songs to give the traditional music a new interpretation - the music performs in a fusion of classic, modern and rock!
=0D=0A=Since 1991, the band has been active in national and international music scenes. Over the past years, the group has been performing contemporary classical music as well as traditional Chinese and Taiwanese music in countless concerts in Taiwan, Asia, Europe and America. This has gained CFMW the reputation of being one of the foremost Sizhu (Chinese chamber music) ensembles in the world.
=0D=0A=One of the most important Lunar New Year celebrations is having a grand feast with your friends and family. In Taiwan, street banquets are known for being sumptuous and delicious.
