DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:After 6 years of racing at Cobble Hill, we feel we have the perfect combination of single and double track trails, we think the course distance is dialed in at 21km for Experts, 14km for Intermediates and 6km for Beginner racers, and we know there is enough tough climbing to satisfy a Billy Goat.=0D=0A=

So what do the race organizers do to continue to evolve the sport? We introduce a Vintage category! If your bike meets two of the three following criteria, you have a Vintage Racer.=0D=0A=

   - Rim brakes, front and rear.=0D=0A=
   - Full Rigid ( no hi-tech suspension lockouts)=0D=0A=
   - Single Speed=0D=0A=

The vintage category will be an Open race that will complete one lap of the beginner course, approximately 3km. Dust off that old iron and bring some nostalgia to Cobble Hill!=0D=0A=

The 2013 Vancouver Island Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, is BC’s premiere grassroots race series spanning the length of Vancouver Island. Cross Country, Downhill, Super D and Marathon disciplines are brought together from numerous local mountain bike clubs.=0D=0A=

If you’re a first timer, seasoned pro or just out to have some fun we would love to see you experience mountain bike racing on Vancouver Island.=0D=0A=

Fees: $20 Intermediates and Experts, $10 Beginner and Vintage (free Vintage with registration in another category)
