Reaching Out Assisting Refugees (ROAR) is a community group based on Vancouver Island which resettles LGBT refugees from around the world who face serious persecution. LGBT refugees resettled to Vancouver Island can make a new beginning and experience freedom. ROAR has formed two sponsorship groups to help two people who are awaiting resettlement. We hope to help other refugees when enough human and financial resources have been gathered. ROAR is run by volunteers. We partner with Brechin United Church in Nanaimo and cooperate with Vancouver's Rainbow Refugee.
=0D=0A=
