With an abundance of fantastic activities planned, there is plenty of family fun to be had while celebrating BC’s maritime heritage during the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre’s 30th annual Small Wooden Boat Festival.
=0D=0A=Open to all wooden power, sailing, and pulling vessels, we encourage all boaters to register their small wooden boats up to 40’ in length and participate in a festival that has continued to evolve over the years into the successful fun-filled, family friendly community event it is today.
=0D=0A=Whether you choose to enjoy the live entertainment; a tasty pancake breakfast Saturday morning; face painting; a delicious Salmon BBQ on Saturday evening; steam bending, knot tying, and engine demonstrations; voting for your favourites in the boat display and the much-loved Clam Chowder Contest; water races; perusing the silent auction and raffle baskets; wine tasting; or any of the other great planned events, the 30th annual Small Wooden Boat Festival is a wonderful opportunity to engage with local maritime heritage within the community while spending quality time with family of any age.
