As we prepare to welcome the Chinese Year of the Snake and raise a glass at one of the Island's many Robbie Burns Celebrations, we can't help but think of the many people who came West in the early days looking for adventure, fortune...and a better life for their families.
That's an interesting thing to read about, and next week happens to be Family Literacy Week.
There's no better way to celebrate literacy with the family than to develop some literacy of the family and the early days of your community. There's an adventurer in every Islander.
