“Dream a Little Dream”- Street Theatre for Young Audiences

TheatreOne is proud to announce the launch of our TheatreOne’s Young Company that will begin July 30th 2007.Thanks to the support from the City of Nanaimo and Mid Island Coop, TheatreOne in partnership with Red Room Studios will be offering Performance Workshop for Young Audiences.
Learn the craft of Storytelling, Art of the Clown, Creating a Character, and Improvisation with performing artists Catherine Caines, Laurie Clark and Garry Davey. This Workshop will conclude with a collective creation performance of ‘Dream a Little Dream’ at Maffeo Sutton Park.
Program open to Ages: 11-16

To expand our scope incorporating young people as part of our mandate, “TheatreOne’s Young Company” will be made up from local young performers whose purpose will be to present open air productions for children during the spring and summer. It is an innovative way for TheatreOne to share the skills of theatrical arts within the theatre community and amongst the Vancouver Island community.
