Out of the darkness, and heading for the light.
Sure, Monday's the first day of winter, but it's also the milestone that means that the shortest day of the year will be behind us.
Since early times, people have set fire to their disappointments and failures on the longest night and watched them disappear in the bright flames. That's a good idea.
Whether you're planning on dancing with abandon on Sunday evening... or just looking forward to not travelling to and from work in the dark, there's a sense of renewed energy and hope that comes with the return of the light.
Get out and celebrate it!
