Notice the small things.
...The rewards are inversely proportional. ~Liz Vassey
There are some wonderful small things popping up all around our communities. You may be thinking I'm talking about Food Trucks or perhaps The First Chanterelles after that Lovely Burst of Rain. But I'm talking about something even more delightful than those.
Little Free Libraries are quickly appearing in the laneways, boulevards and gardens of our cities and towns. The movement is an open-hearted expression of the joy of reading, and these teeny wonders remind us about the magic of books and the simple pleasure of sharing a favorite one.
Built and lovingly tended by creative people in our neighbourhoods, the libraries are tiny invitations to take a book, love a book, leave a book, and most importantly...to read a book.
Get out for a walk this week and discover a mini-library on your street. You'll find Victoria information HERE and Nanaimo information HERE.
And if you can't find one, why not create one yourself?
