Let everyone sweep in front of his own front door...
And the whole world will be clean. ~Goethe
It's amazing what variety of things you'll find when you go out for a beach walk. Driftwood, shells, time-polished sandstone...fascinating tidepools filled with busy and productive miniature worlds.
You'll also find plastic bottles, food wrappers and bags left from summer picnics and washed up on shore from places far away. As they say, all drains lead to the sea.
This week we have an opportunity to participate in The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, and it's a fantastic and fun way to make a difference. If you feel like one small person, and that the impact one person can make doesn't matter...just head to the starting line of a Terry Fox Run this Sunday and be inspired.
