Weekly Music Classes for Children 4-6 Years Old

30 minutes of musical games, songs, movement, and fun, based on the Kodaly approach to early childhood music education.

-develop basic musicianship skills
-make music together
-learn to work as a group
-learn new songs and games
-have fun

Parents are welcome to stay during the class. Coffee and tea is provided. No fees.

There will be a couple performance opportunities in the context of a church service over the course of the year, for example around Christmas. There’s no need to belong to any church, but participants should be comfortable with song and story from the Christian tradition.

About the teacher: Soile Stratkauskas is a professional flautist, whose recent passion for singing has also led her to study voice privately. Soile’s teaching experience includes teaching flute and recorder to children from 5 years olds through to grown-ups, as well as teaching Kodaly-based music kindergarten and musicianship classes at the North London Colourstrings Centre (UK).
